Get some pictures up Jansman, would be interesting to see how you did things. I love goats which type did you have and did you milk them?

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
I have been making a large Hugelkultur bed and finished that today. i have created a smaller one near to where the Victoria plum tree was planted at the weekend. I have moved my comfrey plants ( which had spread well) and planted them along the edge of the smaller Hugelkultur. Yesterday I picked up 2 red currants and 2 cranberry bushes from Wilkinsons and planted them along the top. I aim to plant some camomile along the edge too. However, the ground is terrible so I think that might be it for this week until it dries out a bit.
Ordered my second polytunnel, should arrive today or tomorrow. Hopefully that will be up by the weekend and I can start digging the ground over ready for early planting.
Put some things on ebay to sell, and have cleared a couple of bags for the charity shop. My clutter is reducing
Having been meaning to make proper contact with the local transition group I actually managed this at the weekend via the purchase and planting of the plum tree.
I love school holidays - I get sooooo much done....

Just ordered some plastic buckets from these guys

I know they've been mentioned on the forum before but for any newbies out there that don't know bat them. These buckets are to store my mylared goods in, for long term.

Not been up to much prep recently apart from doing a medium sized Big Shop at the weekend including extra tins of soup and a couple of four packs of John West tuna. I need to do an Aldi shop soon to add to the passata mountain...

Oh how I love half term!!
Mine sounds something similar to preppingsu's - must be a teacher thing!!
Bought a blackberry cane and two raspberry canes from the pound shop this week - trying to add to the fruit and veg area at the bottom of the garden. Haven't got around to planting our new plum tree yet though!!
Another local pound shop is closing down and everything was going even cheaper than usual - several packs of 6 candles for just 50p each! And some 'AA' ice grippers for footwear just £2 a pair!
Also had a de-clutter and got a good batch of random stuff on ebay!
And did some Mylar bagging - but only about 50% of it successful... so can't decide whether to keep it as it is (still sealed and light protected) or empty them and put them into new bags and hope for better results next time!

Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Got some chickens at last, 8 hybrids about 7-8mths old, for the princely sum of a bottle of whisky. Not laying yet, the move will have put them off and I don't have electric outside so no light at night but I live in hope! All I have to do now is keep the fox and pinemartin away.
Re: What Preps are you doing this week
Got myself a cheap kneeling chair off ebay so that I can look after my posture whilst working so that I can keep what back health I have got and hopefully I can reduce the likelihood of having worse back problems in the future
