Ah, then you've got a cracking deal there.

Once you commit to buy the two of you are then have a contract and theres not a lot of wiggle room on the side of the Seller. A few years back some nasty little buggers were up to all sorts of tricks so Ebay tightened up on that side of it.

Hi ForgeCorvus et all, hopefully will be able to get hold of Kilner jars for a real good price, just in the end stages of negotiating order quantities, but hopefully by the middle of next week I should have stock.

@Kizzie, that pressure cooker should allow you a fair quantity, albeit you may have to stack jars to get the same amount of jars in as a designed for model, but let us know what transpires. I'm still not sure about using an ordinary pressure cooker though, as I've mentioned earlier, you do need to know your pressures Kizzie, please don't think I'm criticizing, I'm not, there can be potential for harm to life if you don't process properly, right pressure, right length of time etc. Not so much with the veggies, but meat is a real concern, so please be careful.

I too got hit with the shipping crap. I had ordered a presto 23quart canner, advertised as shipping worldwide, but when I purchased my canner, it got accidently damaged on it's way to me and it was the last one. Funny thing is, 3 days later same seller put same listing on with shipping only to the States  :x

So anyways, i'll be stocking the 0.50L & the 1L jars first, they will be advertised on fleabay, but I will provide direct shipping to folks on here for convenience if that helps. In future, seeing how things go, then I will look into stocking the other equipment needed, as I've got a good rapport with a few suppliers over the pond that are willing to work with me.

All the best, stay safe, stay prepared

Daz.

Advert still isnt the same as the one I ordered from. So maybe they are adding more shipping at the end now?

Please forgive ignorance but... would this one need to be re-calibrated sometimes?? I would love one of the old fashioned ones where you have the weights and they don't need to be calibrated? Or am I being thick?
