Hi Blade. Although i personally was aware of vaccine ingredients, thank you for posting this info to spread awareness and help others. Hope the negative responses you received will not deter you from sharing vital information in the future.

Stay informative (and exegetic)

Anybody can google this stuff, also go to FluTrackers forums, they have everything you'd ever want to know about flu. Just dont go on for hours on HERE about it  or we'll all go mad (der)!!

OK. Housekeeping done. Thread back on track. Let's keep it that way, please, otherwise it will be locked.

Hi Silver, thanks for that, it is appreciated.

As for back on track. I never took it off track in the first place.

Some form of an apology wouldn't hurt for the way I was berated. Or at least admit I never took it off track in the first place and the information I posted originally was sound, accurate and relevent to people thinking of taking the flu vaccine.

I offered to apologise to anyone I had upset and no one took me up on it so I can only assume I never upset anyone.

I am upset by the way I was made to feel like a liar and a naughty schoolboy and had to back up everything I said even though it is freely available on reputable websites like the FDA. Fortunately I am big and ugly enough to take it but if other members were treated like that they might not be so thick skinned.

Be lucky (and apologetic)

I appreciate the thread and info about the jag. (Scots for jab, lol)
I won't be getting it, even though I have chronic bronchitis (a legacy of a sixty a day habit, not joking, sadly) and am entitled.
The last vaccination I had was tetanus due to being bit by a vole. It made me quite ill for a couple of weeks, so if the flu jag would do the same, I might take my chances with the flu. :?

You got bitten by a vole? Eeek! Would that be known in Scottish as a 'timorous beastie'...?

It was an evil wee bugger Bitsy! The cat came trotting up with it in his mouth and it was squealing, so I thought I'd rescue it. It sank it's (very sharp!) teeth into me. Never knew voles had such long teeth. But the doc said I needed a tetanus jag so had to get one, couldn't remember the last one I had.

Stating a whole load of components in other vaccines, but not in the flu jab isnt taking it OT? This thread is about the flu jab, NOT other vaccines. That is what itsy was referring to originally.

You were hardly berated, you were asked for sources, that's all. What is wrong with asking for sources? I certainly wouldnt be offended if I posted something which may not widely be known to the general populace or even the general user base here and was asked to back it up with credible sources. In fact, I would include it in my original post, but that's just me.

If you were made to feel like a liar and a naughty schoolboy, that was certainly not the intention. However, can you blame us for wanting sources, after the bicarbinate of soda cancer cure incident?

If you or anyone else posts something as *fact* and not an opinion, *PLEASE* back it up with a credible source.

Can we get back to prepping now please?

only had flu twice in my life, nearing pension now. Had the jab once and it made me ill, never again.
