Springer evertime - as powerful and as accurate as pcp - just need the correct technic and practise to control recoil. No mater what you choice you must be able to hit groups of one inch consitantly this becomes your max range for hunting.

Additionaly field craft and knowledge of the quarry will get you more in the pot than any posh expensive gun.

Have shot pcp find they feel dead due to lack of recoil - complicated to mend in the field not sure where you'd find a diveshop to charge tank when shtf?

BSA for me everytime got me a Lighting XL now made in Birmingham again renowned barrel simple robust and light.

Overall Length: 95cm/37.5 in
Barrel Length: 37cm/14.5 in
Weight: 3kg/6.6lbs

Hope this helps

Underlever hold their accuracy better as you keep locking and unlocking the barrel on a break action and pivot pins etc can wear, a underlever barrel is fixed so no movement relative to sights / scope

Thanks that does make sense but looking at different rifles there is a price difference with under leavers costing more must just be higher end rifles.

Read many good things about the BSA XL, might be my purchase at the end of January depending on how my trial at the local air gun club goes.

still more humane than using a pack of dogs and a herd of horses chasing it for miles.
Possibly but the hounds usually make a quick kill, but shooting certain animals with a non FAC is still illegal, maybe hiring a trap would have been better in this instance? ;)
