my erect DD tarp


attached them in forum hope you can now see them..


with us getting the larger tarp it gave me the option of a bit more material to play with managed to ..

hang the entrance end off a tree using paracord to the back webtex pole and make a hanging ridge....


but left the last hanging loop out...


pegged out the corners again ignoring the last corner eyelets at the back end...

after it was pegged out i folded the back end corners in on themselves then rolled up the bunch of spare fabric then run a bit of cord from the corner pegs across the rolled up bit to clamp it in place against the floor creating a sealed end to keep the wind out..

Ive been down to the local bootsale and picked up an old tobacco tin to make into a survival tin for the old man, he likes going hillwalking all over the country so just incase! Picked up a whetstone too for maintaining the beast and putting an edge back on the mora seeing as the only stone i bought was my puck in my bob. Earlier in the week i ebay'd 50 steritabs, laplander, millbank bank and a little folding wood stove. Just a cheap dd tarp and bivy bag to find now.

we did have a problem with them at one point commercial mole smokes didnt work but they didnt come back having been subjected to 6 hours of 2 stroke exhaust fumes



will show you the pack size when i dry it out and fold it, its done nothing but rain here all day.. i did begin to get a tad damp in the small hours last night so i just shuffled further in.. with hindsight if i had dropped the front entrance lower i would have been fine i did draw the entrance tighter with a S biner when it begun to rain

I did a chemist trawl today and got myself a few boxes of Paramol for my stash of medicines. Not had much chance to do any prepps since being back from family visit to IOW last week.

Was nice to open my cupboards and see my stashes though, sister and family live day to day food wise which I found shocking!! They never know what they will want to eat was their reasoning behind it. I had a word with them to at least do a weekly shop if the basics and then increase to a monthly shop. I was very shocked indeed!!

Just thinking about the paramol (I did a previous post mentioning I bought it too) and the newbies we have joining us. Paramol is mega effective AND addictive (I only use it for migraines when co-codamol doesn't do the job). Codeine is also famous for 'bunging you up' so make sure if you buy it you have a healthy stash of poo tablets as well

Hope you don't mind me barging in here Decaff, it just struck me that some people may not know about paramol.......
