yeah iv seen course like that in scotland. I think the National Trust runs a couple.

I know people who have empty cuboards and just buy food to eat that day. I dont mean poor people either, well off people who just live like that.
fridge can get bare at times ,
but if we have left over food i look at it an see if i can feed it to either the 2 parrots,bantams/quail
an the kids pet rabbit an pair of rats.
makes me laugh when people buy prepared rat food for their pets yet wild rats will eat anything
