So I’ve gone and got a handful of perpetual Welsh and Egyptian from the garden! That’s prepping! ;) Take care folks.
What are you cooking and what time do you want everyone round?

Wouldn't say feet up visit to the parents to abuse the big driveway

Oil and filter changed

Air filters (cabin and engine) replaced

New spark plugs done (what a pita that is)

New alternator belt (was slipping on start up some colder damp mornings)

Replaced the strut top bearing and complete wishbone on the drivers side did passenger side last year there was play in both parts

Just awaiting on the new fuel filter to finish the job

Hopefully in may the mot man will be happy

Comparing the "big services" at halfrauds and sh1tfit. They don't include spark plugs / cabin filters / synthetic oil they are both pushing £230 for my car. And that doesn't include half of what I've done  oh and I used a torque wrench ;)
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

Lack of planning on your part doesn't make it an emergency on mine

Different kind of prepping for me as I need a tooth out next tues the cost scares me more than the extraction and its a back tooth !
But not straightforward ..have vonwillebrands.(.haemophilia )
Carry a bleeding disorder card ..present in emergencies ..and numbers to ring to get my blood clotting stuff or treatment in emergency .. dentist is terrified of me ...
5 hours yesterday..5 solid hours ringing the numbers to get my stuff for Tuesday as theyre all shut today weekend and Monday not one person picked up the phone ...
Good job I wasn't bleeding to death if that's how its going to work...ring this number in case of emergency..er nope ..
Collected said tabs eventually and got a doing off a nurse saying I should look after my tooth as these tabs cost ( I pay for them ! ) ..last extraction i had was 1992 :)
Have to take bang on certain times all weekend up to tues morning then for 3 days after ..so little pill box is out with marker pen on saying dont forget ..
Stuff it im off to Jansmans for tea with everyone else :)

Myself, son & a neighbour took 20ft (off each tree) off the top of three 60ft pine trees that were looming over the house. Today. Everybody's still got all their fingers and nobody fell off any ladders. It's all lying in the field where it fell (well was pulled by a tractor in one case) so processing it for firewood tomorrow. Farmer wants to plant the field so better not hang around.

I'm currently preparing to not have a functional kitchen for a few days (hopefully not weeks) whilst we fit the new one. Electrician is coming Wednesday whilst I have the grandchildren, the bathroom is down the hallway off the kitchen so may need to set up an outdoor bathroom along with a field kitchen. Hopefully the grandchildren will see it all as a bit of an adventure and will help me to plant a few seeds in the garden before preparing their lunch outside and if the worst comes to the worst and they get bored and want their tablets I can charge them up on the big powerbank.
Growing old disgracefully!
