Weirauch HW95 (it's a springer) in .22. buy Field & Target Trophy Pellets.
If you have a secluded* garden with a nice sturdy brick wall at the end, get a roll of old carpet & some paper targets and practice, practice, practice. Until you can shoot groups about the size of a 10p piece at 10 to 20 yards. This is how I taught myself to shoot. It worked.
(*don't scare the neighbours! most UK peeps can't tell the difference between a British legal air rifle and an AK47. They will call the plod who will turn up with 9mm Glocks and H&K carbines!!)
Rabbits, squirrels and pigeons are now on your menu come SHTF. Sooner if you can find a friendly landowner who'll let you hunt on their land.

That's the joy of a british standard legal sub 12ft lb air rifle - they are so quiet and of such moderate power that you can practice in a secluded garden or yard, heck if you have the room you can practice in your garage or in long corridor in your house.diamond lil wrote:I'd sort out the land to shoot over first before I got the gun.

We shoot in our 85 ft long garden. Our problem is that we have little time each night that we do it - it has to be dark enough the chickens are in bed (and so are safe from any ricochets) but not so dark we can't see!
