Bit of luck I've finally caught the rat that's been in the greenhouse/ chicken coup it was a bloody big male
Hopefully it was just him... traps re baited no way would a generic hardware shop snap rat trap done him much damage
Funnily enough, I had several trays of French beans which had shown no signs of life after 9 days of sitting in a warm greenhouse, in damp seed compost. As soon as the weather turned I had 2" bean plants within the space of around 14 hours

Ha well done YA bet you're glad Ratty has expired !
Went to car boot this morning the one over your way ! Bought a few of those meaty traps from a stall next to a old friend of yourshe's still alive and kicking
The traps are positioned now for the just in case anything else wants to break in !
That sounds good. I’ve loads of stuff needs sharpening but I put it off because it’s such a chore! Was it very expensive?Arzosah wrote: ↑Tue May 27, 2025 8:52 am Finally bought a system to sharpen my garden tools - I realise I've bought replacements for secateurs and shears, and my lopper is also blunt now. I have manual sharpeners, but energy and joint problems mean I can't do that. So I've bought a drill attachment with a circular action (obvs![]()
) plus a diamond coated file.
