I need to spend a little less time and attention to this and other forums..... 7 days off forum.
So, I'm about to put hurdles to limit my ability to view this site by making changes to my computer config. I'll be able to connect by phone, but will try not to. If this, and will power don't work, I'll be self excluding.

Ahhh peace and quiet everyone

I think so, can't be 100% sure now. I'm not going up again. Still waiting for a price.

I definitely need scaffolding up, brickwork fixing, chimney rebuilding.
I probably want the front half doing. It's not desperate, but the felt is old.
So I might get the back re-done in slate for long term peace of mind while I'm at it.

This next week I will be keeping an eye on the veg garden. That’s all it needs. The flower garden needs an hour or two, and it’s gentle work. Very calming.

In between I am refitting our kitchen. Main thing is a new sink. I am pretty handy at plumbing, so it can all be done in my time. From a prepping point of view it will make food storage and prep easier for my wife further up our line. Now I am feeling fitter it’s a job I will enjoy. Got to have a project.

As I am writing this, my mate has just dropped a load of firewood on the front. Bless him, he’s cut it too! I’ll keep stacking that this Summer, cannot have too much solid fuel! . All it will cost is a pint and a fishing trip! :D

They are not bad for what they cost either. ;)

Husband has shed all sorted now - diesel heater and solar power & lights. For the techie minded, the detailed spec is as follows:
Four solar panelly things on top of shed> connecting to a wee box thingy that amazon sent us> then a switch - and the lights come on.
