Wow!

Thank you so much for the post, as the others have said, it's great :D

I found your rationing point really hit home because (of course) whatever we have in the stash can currently always be added to via a quick spend in the shops. I always think of our stash as a cushioning rather than 'this is it - make do' - that really hit home

The most interesting bits for me were that it is a full-time job doing this... and that you need good clothes and gloves. We're halfway there, living remote and having a stove for heating, but as you say I can pick up the phone and get Asda to bring me more food if I run out and that wouldn't be the case if TSHTF.

I've been interested in this post from day one.. it's been a good read and love the fact u covered sum of the more mundane daily tasks that a lot of people dont take into account when considering bug out scenario's :)
