The main two points are excellent, the pondweed and the dead hedging (which also has good security potential, I *think*. And both ideas fit with the permaculture concept of finding opportunities to use your waste and creating a closed circle.

On Wartime Farm last week they showed a leaflet about seasonal growing and information to make sure they had veg all year round. After the disastrous growing this year I thought it would be a good idea to try this next year.
