Dear all,
http://rsgb.org/main/operating/web-sdr-receiver/
The above link is a webpage on the server of the Radio Society of Great Britain (RSGB).
It allows you to remotely control a radio receiver and currently on the 20m band you will hear the relief effort in Nepal being carried out.
It makes sobering listening to what could happen in the event of an emergency and may just spur you on to gain an Amateur Radio licence.
Even if it doesn't, it's an interesting listen.
Best,
Simon Templar
Proof Positive of The Benefits of Radio Comms
Re: Proof Positive of The Benefits of Radio Comms
Yep ST,
The Essex Ham net on Monday and now the TARG net, listening in while I'm typing, have made a point of the amateur contribution in Nepal's terrible disaster.
I believe that the Net chair just mentioned that the government's comms have only just got sorted to begin coordinating the emergency message side of things.
Without a doubt comms is something that can aid us if we needed such in the future,
