Countries are buying precious metals to back their currencies..... you know like the UK and USA used to do :roll:

Like I said elsewhere, full denomination coins are out for now, fractional 1/10 Oz Gold and silver monthly are building my stacks.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

So does this happen in unsettled times as a rule or is this a huge omen and will I panic? As in, maybe buy jellybabies in bulk. Important stuff like that. :twisted:

As we all know Diversity in preps is paramount so take the following with a pinch of salt....

Clear all credit card debt first.

save up 6 months of cash as a fail safe from loss of job.

add to food preps

ISAs for tax free savings

Double pay mortgage payments

Precious Metals/Jelly babies

your priority list may vary when one or more on the list is furfilled add that money into PMs.

I hope you do have some savings. It's never too old to start saving a bit each month. Just for if a few big jobs come up on the house, unless it's rented that is. Even then you might have to pay for repairs. Maybe something non-house related could crop up. I ended up taking out two loans. I've paid most of it off, and I could pay the rest, but I don't want my available funds to get low again. So I'm ok with about £38 interest a month, which will gradually reduce to zero.
