You might need to watch out for heat build up in the power pack if you are running 3 of the bulbs from it, but then again most phones/laptops take up to 2 amps so if they have provided 3 ports then it should be ok?

I'd hope so.. Three bulbs only draw a maximum of 3A total The pack is a LIPO battery so would hope that the lidl purchasers/ quality controllers have bought something of a reputable build and quality with over charge / discharge protection. After all the issues with early lipo battery packs / items catching fire rather spectacularly

What a great system! Living in a flat we couldn't use a petrol generator due to fumes but loving the solar charger ideas.

Run a single bulb for 5 hr and it was still lit on the final segment of the battery pack

It went on charge about an hour ago so will see how much charge its shoved in when I get home

So, I finally got around to adding this system to my repertoire. A fantastic set up. Many thanks Andy

I then pimped it with my Jackery:

We use these USB lights in the bell tent also running off the power pack. They give off a cracking bit of light and have just invested in a couple more to keep in the stores in case of power outage at home.
