diy pvc bow

has anyone made a pvc bow I watched a few videos of some being made on you tube and want to try It myself any tips or ideas would be great

I don't know anything about bows, and don't want to sound patronising, but if you're making something thats going to be under tension, wear safety glasses and a good strong top, i've seen a good few accidents with springy things made in sheds!

That particular standard of PVC pipe is not on general sale in the UK but can be bought from some suppliers, although it is not cheap.
There is a crossbow thread in the DIY section by gcp1975 or some similar name, in which I added comments about an experiment I did along these lines.
Once I had tested that the bow actually worked, I then cut the bow into many pieces and found no sign of the pipes having separated under stress.
