Easy Growing Method - PERMACULTURE

Post by Arwen Thebard »

Hi All,

Ive been learning to "home - grow" the past 10 years using the PERMACULTURE method. (Ive searched old posts and cant see it mentioned anywhere)

Main principles include:
Its really easy and not at all complicated
Requires virtualy no digging (or very, very little)
Uses a fraction of the water compared to conventional "open ground" growing
Organic, no pesticides or chemical fertilizers
Very, very little weeding needed
Takes a fraction of the time to tend plants compared to conventional methods
Did I mention its really easy and not complicated?

Loads of good info via Google etc just search PERMACULTURE

Its a great system and method for anyone who has little experience and / or not too much time available. Ideal for us preppers I think.

Going back to the title of the thread.Permaculture.It is essentially a simple system. However,it takes some sorting before it operates on a simple level.I have been an exponent of permaculture for thirty years now.Its not just about 'easy' gardening. It's about energy use and conservation too, along with working with the environment, not against it. Here's a link,OK they are mainly Vegans, but its a free country! It explains permaculture to folks who don't know anything about it...sort of. :D
