Finance program

Post by PreppingPingu »

I watched yesterday and today, a 2 part program on BBC called The super rich and us It gives an interesting insight into the past economics of the last 30-40 years and of the current state of play. It talks a bit about consumer debt tied in with industries built around the debt of the poor such as payday loan/cash converter and low budget £1 shop type stores. Quite interesting. From a prepping point of view it gives a wide picture of the gap between "the haves and have nots" and talks about how civilisation only take so much before they kick back and the economy collapses.

I saw the programs as well and admit to feeling quite smug knowing that all their wealth will be worth nothing if and when a SHTF scenario occurs. ;)

I started to watch it, lasted about 5 minutes before I realised I knew (and agreed with) the general hypothesis about people kicking back after too much inequality. I had to stop watching then, I can't bear the people that smirk faux-guilty-wise about how they have less than 10 cars, can't be doing with it.

I'm pleased you managed to watch it through though, good for you!
