Aldi do some great stuff, but for anyone looking for CCTV systems it's often easier and cheaper to buy one or a few of the many cheap IP cams on the market, the app's they have are fairly solid and support 20 cameras for remote viewing, cameras also feature motion trigger, pan/tilt and record onto microsd cards.

I'm using camras from a company Ubiquiti Networks as I use thier networking kit in my house, but they are a little pricey but I had a few of these to play with https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01 ... bw_c_x_1_w and my uncle has several of them around his place in Thiland, extreamly solid proformace.

As for locks, well don't buy locks from Aldi unless you don't care about what you're locking up, you are better off buying a used Abloy 442 for £40 or under . They are pricey new, but crazy good locks. They do destructive testing and they withstand a massive amount of abuse, including being frozen with liquid nitrogen and hit with sledgehammers.

I agree its definitely worth looking at installing a home CCTV set up but have seen better priced systems on ebay et al.
