Puncture Safe

Post by Carrot Cruncher »

Just thought I would give this stuff the thumbs up

https://www.puncturesafemytyrespleez.co ... hp?ccUser=

You put it in your tyres beforehand and if you do get a puncture the fibres in the liquid fill the hole almost instantly and prevent any air escaping. I have used it in various motorbikes for a few years and can vouch for the fact that it works. I noticed I had a nail in the rear tyre of the bike, pulled it out and the hole was sealed (no air escaped with the nail in or out of the tyre). The tyre still outlasted the bike with no further action needed.

I checked with a tyre fitter mate before I put the stuff in to see if there was any problem if I wanted them to change tyres and he said it didnt matter at all, but that I should mention it to them before they started removing it to avoid any mess on the floor :D

Just thinking that if you you did need to get out of town quick, the last thing you would want to be doing is fixing a puncture/changing a tyre. And if things are that bad that you need to leave quick there may be debris in the road increasing the chance of a puncture.

You can get the stuff for all sorts of tyres from push bikes to tractors.

I know it sounds like I'm selling the stuff but i'm not :D ....just really pleased with it. I'm going to buy some more and do the car and campervan as well.

It cost £20 for enough to do the motorbike, will obviously cost more to do a car/van.

You might be thinking of a different product Axel, there are lots about.

From the FAQ http://www.ultrasealuk.biz/pages/qa.htm#
Q - Can tyres treated with Puncturesafe be repaired?

A - Yes!

Puncturesafe does not contain any adhesive or chemicals that would alter the tyre's integrity.

Puncturesafe is totally water-soluble in its liquid state and even when cured it can easily be removed from the interior of any tyre.

All major repairs are performed by simply wiping the puncture area with a damp cloth, then wipe dry and repair
