Foodasver Hose Compatible

Post by jennyjj01 »

Just an FYI to anyone tempted to buy a FoodSaver Mason Jar adaptor and Hose.

The good news is that it is directly compatible to at least some non-Foodsaver brand vacuum pumps. :)
My sealer/pump was a cheapy, either from Lidl or Aldi. The brand is Finether. Like this one...

I just received my FoodSaver branded hose and Jar adaptors from US amazon, not expecting the hose to be compatible.

But it fits and works perfectly. Vacuum seals a jar in about 30 Seconds.

It's also compatible with the 4 quid brake bleeder off amazon UK. With that it took about 90 seconds of fairly hard pumping to seal a half empty jar. Harder work, but successful.

My battery pump from Poundstretchers (£5.99) was a dead loss. :(

It's great to have options. If I am only doing a jar or two I just use the handpump as it's quicker than digging out the vacuum sealer :)
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
