Solar garden Light

Post by allan »

while in wilkos getting more grow bags I spotted these.

Wilko Marker Light Path Solar Small
£2.98

I got one to try and by not connecting the spike to the bottom they can be used free standing. left it out all day to charge and brought it in after dark. while not bight enough to light a room but I will be buying several more to use around the house as night lights and markers on the stairs when the power goes out.

Good idea. I already have these installed around the flat as a backup plan:

They give plenty of light and have settings for off, 6 seconds, 1 minute or permanent.
I bought mine for under £6 from B&Q. Beware other stores especially BT who charge 3 times this price.

I do recommend them if you can get them well under a tenner. Depends how much light you want. We have one at either end of the hallway (on six seconds) and one each (switched off) in the kitchen, bedroom and living room. The kids have one of these very cool lego lights each above their beds!

They are all good enough to find your way about without falling over.... but not good enough for reading or cooking. In a blackout we'd suppliment them with LED or Utube lanterns.
