Talking to the wife of the large family I'm working for and she mentioned energy usage too. One of the disadvantages of a large family is that it creates a lot of washing and they have an industrial washing machine and an industrial drier and as he was saying those machines do use quite a bit of electricity. Upside is that they should last longer than cheaper domestic machines.
