Hello All, we just joined and taking a good look around the forum and the many subjects discussed.
We are a couple new to the Prepping World and just returned to the UK. We have a good amount of knowledge of overlanding in our Jeep and off-road trailer, self sufficiency and survival from our time around living and working around the world. But, look forward to learning more, sharing knowledge and ideas, discussing the world of prepping or should I say, surviving the things the world throws at us?
Stay well. DandB

Welcome. I look forward to hearing your perpective. You will have a lot of hard earned skills gained from your travelling to share. Meanwhile we can share the UK and bug in perspective.

Hello D and B, welcome to the forum that sounds like such an interesting background it'll be very interesting to hear about your sense of self sufficiency while being peripatetic.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Bugging out and surviving in most of the UK is a particular challenge because of the population density and the climate.

You'll find that many of we UK preppers tend to prepare to bug in or 'bug elsewhere' in most scenarios, with survival 'out there in the wild' a distant second. But, to each his own and I look forward to reading your perspective.
Mundane things like prepping for fuel or supply chain availability issues, or utility outages, or societal breakdown generally. Quietly acquiring resources and becoming just a bit less dependent on Just In Time supply chains.
Maybe take a quick look at this thread and related video... https://uk-preppers.co.uk/forum/viewtop ... 67#p204667
Societal breakdown is a recurring theme. And so is disruption in food and energy supplies. And water.... Water's an odd one. Incredibly reliable here and taken for granted. Anyhow. I look forward to reading your contributions
