Hi everyone,
I've been reading the forum for a few weeks and thought it was about time I joined in.
About three years ago, we had a power cut that lasted around four days at our home in Tunbridge Wells. I was completely caught off guard, especially with my two kids (16 and 13) at home.
Nothing too serious happened, but it was definitely a wake-up call. Since then, I've started building up some food supplies and looking more closely at how prepared we are as a household.
I work in finance, so naturally I've spent quite a bit of time looking at the financial side of preparedness too. It's something I don't see discussed as much as food storage or equipment, but I think it deserves just as much attention.
Would be good to hear from others who look at prepping beyond the usual stockpiling.
Stay prepared! BE

Hello and welcome to the Forum.
Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Hello and welcome.
Being financially stable does help. It's just another step in being prepared for what could happen.
