Nice scenery but I prefer brick to wood. Wouldn't complain though!

Not a bad drum! If you convert, its the price of a large detached here. Pity I am in a terrace!

The setting is beautiful and my idea of a proper homestead.
My only concerns would be the relatively close city with a population of 3000 (6 miles away) and that I would put a deeper fire break in between the forest and the buildings.
Youve set me off dreaming again Itsy :)

This is one I look at sometimes when sitting in my office watching it rain with paperwork piling up when I should have gone home hours ago.

Lovely as that is I have to look at what I have now and how I can make it work for me. There is very little point in me dreaming as I know its not going to put that extra food away or dig the garden.

As Janson said in a previous thread we are in the middle of a slow motion car crash and I am no where near being ready for the fallout!

So what can I do to make my home 'prepper ready'? I will continue to add to my food and water stocks, finish my projects (clay oven) etc, and learn as much as I can. I will consider home security and winter proofing.

So instead of dreaming, what will you do????????????

I think that is a fair challenge Su but its also good to have long term targets as well as the priorities for the here now and next 12 months.
