After much testing and waiting Biolite stoves are now available to buy. Seems only the 'camping' size stove rather than the homestove is available atm, and at $129 + (unknown) Shipping + vat + customs, etc it isn't cheap, but it looks like a good prepping tool.http://shop.biolitestove.com/BioLite-Ca ... _p_15.html
Basically it's a small funnel-type stove which u feed with sticks and pine cones as fuel and then stick your cooking pan/pan of water on to cook/boil. The neat thing with this stove however is that it uses some of the heat produced to generate a bit of electricity that you can use via a built-in USB port to recharge your smartphone or run a small light or whatever
