Re: BOL Sale
Yes, I looked into this too. As tigs says, can you build on it? If you can how easy is it to build on? How accessible is it for you? How much extra will you need to spend to make it a 'proper' BOL?
Still, the 'Wild Man of the Woods' has a certain appeal

Re: BOL Sale
You can build sheds or site a caravan (less than 28 days overnight/yr) without too much problem, anything more extravagant tends to need permission. Woodlands.co.uk also requires you to sign a covenant basically binding you (and any subsequent owner) that you wont develop it or otherwise annoy anyone nearby. Kevin mcClouds series is very interesting so far imo, not really sure how he classes it as a 'mobile' shelter, I'd like to see him move it after he's finished

Re: BOL Sale
I did quite a bit of reading into this and basically the guys who run these sites are really particular that they don't want people with any view of building or otherwise disrupting the woodlands they sell. Their aim in life is preserve natural habitat and look particularly for people who want to do their courses, join their club and generally just leave the woods alone.
I am keeping a view on asking farmers at some point in the future if those with small patches of woodland say in their agricultural land would be willing to sell. Less hassle with covenants etc (as long as they aren't there already)?

I think I would buy a ship container, plock somewhere in my forest and and camouflage it, try and make a feature!

We live in a unsustainable world, there must be a balance, poor people/rich people no more, only prepared people will make it!
