Beans

Post by itsybitsy »

I did a 'taste test' this evening on Tesco 'Everyday Value beans in tomato sauce. I usually eat Tesco own brand beans (the next range up from the everyday value that retails at 44p per tin) but I saw these cheapy cheap ones for 26p so I thought I'd try a tin. They were not good. There was very little taste, and some of the beans were pretty hard. Not recommended.

Incidentally, though, Tesco has on offer at the moment 6 tins of Heinz baked beans for £2.00 making them only 6p more a tin than the bargain basement ones. I stocked up on those while I was there!

It's weird how taste works, we love the Tesco 26p beans :D I have really gone off Heinz and we tried the differing brands from Tesco, Morrisons, FarmFoods, Aldi, Lidl and Asda. I prefer the Beans and Sausages from Aldi tho :)
