I only buy Duracell batteries and they have a date on them,current batches are dated 2018.

Just remembered... Poundland do a pack of 20 AA or AAA Kodak batteries.. for £1..

Costco's batteries are good and they have a 7 year shelf life.

Used to have a little MP3 player that run off AAA's, that ate Poundland batteries (mind you expensive ones didn't exactly last ages either.) In the end got some Energizer rechargeables, now currently residing in my dictaphone, must be about 3-4 years old now and still going strong.

Very true, tho i dont really use much that requires batteries at present, we just pick up a couple of packs when we visit n store them.. but the ones we have used seem to last quite well (games controllers/remotes etc)..
