Hey just a quick quest thats probably been answered before but was just wondering if you could keep store bought water (burtons) up until the best before date has expired,or will it still need to be changed in 6 months like tap bottled water.
Thanks in advance.
Water best before date
Re: Water best before date
never really thought about it as we have a bore hole , but as long as you have a water purification system and boil it i guess it would last a lot longer than the use by date! if im wrong i hope someone corrects me!! i would be interested to know too

I found this on the net

Storing Bottled Water
If you plan to keep a supply of bottled water at home, you should store it at room temperature or colder, out of direct sunlight and far from any chemicals or solvents -- for instance, don't put it near any gasoline or paint thinners. So your garage is probably not a good storage place for bottled water. In terms of how long you can store it, the IBWA says it'll be indefinitely drinkable if you store it in the right conditions. The Red Cross, however, recommends replacing commercial-bottled-water supplies annually. (And if you bottle your own water from the tap, use only food grade plastic or glass containers that seal tightly, and replace the supply every six months.)

Re: Water best before date
Thanks for the replies been really helpful..i think the issue with chemicals from the store bought water bottle would leak into the water but if the water comes in it then it must be fine.
