Hi folks, just joined today,
My name is Graham I'm 64 and I'm based in Coventry close to the airport,
I'm ex reme and into diesel engines and fixing things. I have no workshop at present but am looking to rent a small unit or local garage to
start making rocket stoves, Benghazi burners for water heating and cooking and woodgas gasifiers, That's free gas to run a petrol/diesel engine genset unit.
I would be very interested in linking up with local team/group for advise on starting to become a prepper and active group member.
I have a Volvo diesel estate and flat trailer and am a great forager of useful things but am most keen to start using my old army skills again.

Hi and welcome to the forum. You will find a wealth of information on here, and there are many active highly intelligent members whom will be able to assist. To become better acquainted, you may try reading various posts, commenting and getting a feel for the community.
It sound like you could turn your skills highly productivley as a Prepper, given your knowledge of engineering. There are many helpful tips on how to start prepping, but untimately it comes down to what kind of event you are considering prepping for; as this will determine how, what, where you prep. From this position you will be able to move forward and gather ideas.
Welome again

Hi Graham, Welcome to the forum. I love gasifiers please share some pics when you get up and running. I've had my workshop 3 years now and still not built a gasifier (yet)

Re: Woodgas Generators (gasifier)
Hi Gang, Many thanks for the warm welcome,
on the subject of Gasifiers they come in all sizes and capabilities, My thoughts would be for a mobile unit (bolted in the back of a Landy) and a static for a small generator and also for cooking (super hot Stove).
I am next to the Coventry Airport and a great pub called the Oak at Baginton, Seems that getting access to a workshop facility is not that far away.
Will keep you all informed of progress.
Regards Graham
