Prepping for trips abroad

I'm already here and I feel naked without any of my usual tools which I have already needed some and not had.

Obviously planes have restrictions but does anyone else have experience of dealing with it once they are at their destination?

Re: Hex cooker

I've had three mains and 3 desserts cook off one before. Involved lots of balancing and getting fingers burnt but it worked!

Re: Bug Out Vehicle - Must Have Features

I just have a scooter and I'm building a get home bag (water, caffeine tabs and rations) for under the seat. It's not very snow storm, regular storm or anything proof :(

Just seen this and it made me smile. My BOBs MREs consist of mostly of microwave rice, oats (for porridge) and beans. Easy food that can be eaten cold for extra cavemanlyness or cooked on top of my ghillie kettle. Total cost for an MRE is about £1.50 per meal and the oats are rotated out every coupl...

Re: New guy

Awesome I'd be well up for meeting up once I've settled in. I'm a Staines lad originally so I'm pretty used to the area and anywhere I could get to using South West Trains.

Re: quality folding shovel recomendations?

I was going to go with the cold steel shovel. I see it more of a jack of all sort of tool which while it may not be great for digging what am I ever going to dig for an extended amount of time. Plus it's light and £20. And you end up with a double headed axe which looks a little more innocent.
