I've been poking around the site for a while and decided to finally register, I'm a mature female, recently disabled and still trying to see what I can and can not do now (the motorbike has been sold). I now have to prep every time I leave the house and slowly began wondering what would happen if the electric or gas went off or I couldn't drive any more.
I have lots of camping and fishing gear accumulated over the years as I used to like going out wild camping, I am a fully licensed radio amateur and registered trainer
Any decision to stay in or bug out would depend on how bad the state of things got, now being reliant on state benefits is also a problem, no money to hoard food and buy new kit, although tesco's do some very cheap tins of beans and sausages, meatballs etc, lidls do microwave rice in packets and cheap instant noodles, all stuff that can be put away in a box.
The name "Auntystatic" came from a joke, while in the forces we did an electronics engineers agony aunt leaflet every month, with loads of funny stories
