Re: PLCE Webbing - Main Yoke Belt Location?

Hi I would recommend having belt on pelvis (iliac crest) so that it takes the weight. adjust belt with jacket and shirt on so that you have good adjustment for more/less clothes. then put yoke on. Using a long 15/20mm belt threaded through lower loops of pouches will stop them moving. it is not a ve...

Re: Prep office/shed ideas.

A good idea, would love to do the same but garden is to small. For a toilet a camping chemical toilet or composting one with air vent would work well. I have been looking at metal sheds as they are more secure, but a good quality wood cabin is quite secure and would be great with a wood burning stov...

Re: Poncho Roll

Hi yes I have a dpm version sass nbc kit roll.
some backpacks come with a detachable roll so might be worth looking on ebay for that.
as far a a shelter goes I prefer to use a light weight basha and a waterproof jacket.

Re: EDC/GHB how much is too much?

Hi it sounds as if you have a lot of duplication. a simple test is how much does it weigh and can you run with it? Have you camped out overnight, how easy is it to use on the move? can you store it in a car boot every day or is it to large? my bob is just 20lb as far as med kit goes tablets are more...

Re: burns gel

For burns irrigate with water for 10min if poss, if no water avail water jet dressings are great but they do make cleaning the wound after harder. burns wrap is good and waterjet can be used over top as the cooling works by evaporation. as far as for small wounds go don't forget the risk of hypother...

Re: trapping. pre made traps ? for crayfish

Have tried making a crawfish trap from wire mesh, from a good you tube video. not as good as I would have liked.
have a yoyo fishing line trap, but have not tried it out yet.

Re: Care for and bits for S10 Gas Mask?

Hi I would only use a canister that came sealed in silver rapper for s10 as I found 1/4 did not work when I used s10 (in cs gas chamber). for bio threat I use a 3m mask, the filters are very good and the fp3 rated mask fits well even tho I have not stored with much care. a full mask and filters is e...

Re: What preps are you doing this week? part 2.

Am adding a few new things to bob, more compact basha will allow space for new compact wash kit. also adding a few winter items now that its cold enough to wear the jacket that is normally in the bag.
