Re: Reccomending The Raptor Survival 6in1 Shears
I use the genuine Leatherman Raptors at work, paramedic, for when you absolutely need to cut through something first time and fast. Most of the cheap naff, disposable tuffcuts work give us are luck of the draw whether theyre any good or not, often theyll struggle to cut through a thick pair of jeans...

Re: The Anti-prepper prepper
Whilst I expect it is unlikely that somewhere there is a group of people preparing for SHTF purely by thinking "I COULD prep myself, but why bother, Ill just rob Mr Prep down the road", however I think that the likelyhood of people turning to robbery, looting and pillaging in SHTF/breakdow...

Re: GHB - Webbing Advice
Seems a bit overkill! Webbing is big and bulky, not ideal for wearing covertly as intended. Im assuming youre referring to something like the old '58 pattern webbing. Heavy bulky and uncomfortable, but fully modular and everything can be moved around including the ammo pouches. What is it youd be wa...

Re: Airsoft
As an airsofter, perhaps a little input - it depends on the weapon really... I mean if youre toting a SCAR-H or M16 or some other high tech military looking kit, then probably nobody going to fall for it. However, something like a shotgun or battered old looking handgun like a colt 1911 would be mor...

Re: cheap food
Is there a rule of thumb regarding eating things past their sell by date? Bear in mind "use by" dates are a relatively new thing, mankind has survived happily for milleniums without it, its called common sense - if its green and mouldy or smells funny, dont eat it  Ive got onions...

Re: Meet Earl -- The god send gadget
Very cool bit of kit. Way out of my budget though. Though I do have something similar for when Im offroading/greenlaning with my 4x4 club, I bought an old cheap laptop so I dont care if it gets nicked, broken or dropped in the mud, and in car charger for a few quid, filled the hard drive with OS map...

Re: Vehicle prep
Wouldn't matter would it because if the track splits put the steelies away and drive the way I want and then deploy steelies again. And no I didn't know that either O.o how do they do that then? I have only payed attention to the tracks up here when I occasionally "navigate" them to short...

Re: Vehicle prep
Wow a lot of good points there that i hadn't considered, I need to do some digging. Train lines have signs?! O.o Yep, theyre there to tell train drivers things like speed limits, track gradients - the kinda stuff you need to know to prevent de-railing. Also when you get to things like junctions and...
