Re: Digging a well

Hi No sorry no web link. Well points can be brought on eBay, you dig a three foot deep hole with post hole diggers, then use a man operated post rammer, I call them man killer. Knock it down until about 8 inches is left out the ground, then attach another shaft and repeat, it did say well points are...

Re: Monocular Telescopes

Devonian Could you recommend a monocular that would be much better, this cheap pair is only for a waist band or BOB. But would be interested in a really good long distance pair as well. Sorry, but I'm no expert, I just know having bought (wasted money)/used these things myself, that the magnificati...

Re: Monocular Telescopes

Just brought one of the Monoculars recommended by icrcc, actually been reduced in price to include delivery at £2.30. Really cheap price, will see what they are like and get back to you. Range is 100-1000m so if just ok, still brilliant price!

Digging a well

I'm not sure if this has been discussed before, but have many of you thought or acted on digging a well on your property for emergency use. I have been trying to do as much research as possible on it and it seems easiest to use a well point, they are about 3ft tall with a mesh shaft and point at the...

Re: kelly kettle hobo addition

I have been looking at these a lot over the weekend, is the Kelly kettle better than other makes (Guillie) or are they all very similar. I understand the design of them all is the same, but any preferences?? The whole kit looks brilliant for a preppers mobile kitchen. I have cooked many times on jus...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week

Well as a complete beginner. Just stocked up a little more on pasta, rice, paracetamol. And done lots of researching on equipment to buy. I'm using under stairs for food store and was planning on building up a store this year then using and replacing next year so I am always keeping the use by date ...

Yeah. That was exactly my thoughts. I never use painkillers or any other medication but know lots of people do and trade could be expected?!

Re: Painkiller storage

Thanks for the reply. How long do you think they will last beyond their expiry date. Most say 2016/2017 but I was thinking they would be good as long as they are kept well and dry?

Painkiller storage

Hi all, Just after hearing what others have done. I am new to prepping but slowly beginning. When it comes to storing of paracetamol, asperin, and other tablets, how do you all store them, is it best to totally remove from all packaging and store in a Mylar bag or similar or shall I jut remove from ...
