Re: secure BOL storage

re;planning Id check with your local planning website/office but here in NI you can build a building no bigger than 6metres by 5metres without planning permission and without need for building control as long as its not a dwelling and at least as far away from neighbouring land by the height of the ...

Re: Building on a flood plain!!

I was impressed with his determination and efforts. To look slightly on the bleak side what he did was exactly what was done at Ford Green hall , a dam all around the property. Re: static caravan revamp

Re: Building on a flood plain!!

Re: Building on a flood plain!!

Isolated flood defences (such as those to protect a small number of properties) will only ever work for a short period of time. If you have a prolonged flood, days rather than hours, then the water will get past your defences. The only sensible option (if you haven't started the build yet) is to ra...

Re: Heating for SHTF and in general.

It wasn't unknown in some older properties for vents to be fitted next to the fireplace in wooden floors to encourage airflow under the floor . Feeds the fire and the airflow kept the joists dry. true!in fact just checking my plans for house im building and there is a specific vent/air inlet requir...

Re: BO food for thought & air rifles

Re: Prep Calculator

that 'calculator's def a bit vague.I think a lot of people (myself included) check out whats dirt cheap/on offer at tescos etc and chuck a few extra items into the trolley. this means a surplus of large 20p jars of curry sauce,20p noodles, pasta etc,17p tins of custard etc etc. each person will have ...
