Newbie solar power questions

Newbie to solar power, and general technomuppet, so you have been warned. :D I've been looking at the portable units you see advertised on Amazon but how do you calculate what size of panel to buy and what the energy it stores might power. I've got no idea what might be useful for charging a phone o...

Re: Value Range foods compared

I used to do the same in terms of buying cheap rubbish I wouldn't normally eat which is obviously a mistake as eventually you do have to eat it or chuck it and I'd sometimes do the latter. Buying stuff that you'll be happy to eat or that you would normally eat is the better option.

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 13

Ordered some freestanding shelving units for the outbuilding so will be able to get stuff more organised rather than being crammed here, there and everywhere around the house. Have also been looking at some vegetable planter tubs to put out back.

Re: Value Range foods compared

I notice that Aldi and Lidl baked beans came out jointly top in a Which magazine blind taste test over all other brands including Heinz, Branston etc.

No Mpox thread?

I'm a fairly infrequent visitor I'll admit so may have missed it but is there any reason there is no thread devoted to the Mpox situation in terms of at least keeping an eye on the global situation? I notice other forums have discussions on it so was curious why not here. Is it because it is not reg...

How many times can you use a disposable FFP3 mask?

Is there any official advice? I've probably used mine for about an hour maximum each week since the lockdown started. I know I've read that under the present circumstances it's understandable if people use them a few times but wondering how much is too much?

Re: Any tips for storage of FFP3 masks?

I've seen a few articles saying that although use and bin is the recommendation, that's not always going to realistic in circumstances like a pandemic. Also a lot of the use and bin guidelines are aimed at health workers who are more like to come into direct contact with the virus and wearing masks ...
