Re: Inverter power supply
It's quite a while ago I asked this, I think I was alluding to the risk when running multiple, non double insulated devices.

Yes that's the one. Yours looks identical except is a complete mirror image (cartridge on the other side) and mine looses about an inch for the cartridge where the adapter screws on.Yorkshire Andy wrote: ↑Fri Feb 02, 2024 8:40 pm

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 11
Picked up a little portable heater as an extra backup. Something American rather than Chinese for a change; seems to have a few safety features and a proper manual. £58 new, opened box \ possible cusomer return but works great. Runs off ~450g disposable cylinders but can run off larger ones with a ...

Re: Ffp3 masks cheap
I use 3m fold flat masks that have a valve for anything round the house now. Had a few incidents where i inhaled all sorts of shite because of cheap masks, so i stick with these. I've various types, some ffp3 and some very good organic ones for painting; bit all the same format. Rubbish masks will c...

Re: Power bank preps
Also if your powerbank supports it it's worth having PD capable usb chargers. I've a PD30 usb wall charger that came with a mobile phone, and it's great for rapidly charging powerbanks. Only 3 of the 5 I have support PD charging at the higher rate, so those are the ones I take out and about, but I u...

Re: Prepping when ill or infirm
I've got another sort of infirmity for us to be aware of - a bad back  it really is limiting. Lots of articles in the Grauniad over the last few months, eg this one https://www.theguardian.com/science/2023/aug/06/good-posture-back-pain-how-to-avoid I do think all my core muscles need to be st...

Re: Prepping when ill or infirm
A few years ago I got some led security light bulbs to replace the halogen ones. Started off good and gradually got duller until they expired after about 2 weeks. All of them the same. Granted they were the cheapest I could find, but I just couldn't get my head round how shit they were; I mean what ...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 11
I've seen all sorts too. Only shock I've had to date has been off a coil on an old fiat, that was bad enough - it happens when you're tired and keep pressing on with a task I find. When I was younger I built a few valve amplifiers (off of internet designs; I never fully understood it all to be hones...
