Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 13
Last weekend I placed 6kg of flour in mylar bags; the start of my food store. I started storing water late last year (128 litres so far) in 10L jerry cans) using a method kindly described to me by Frnc in another thread. I also ate a couple of Seven Oceans biscuits to see what they're like. I'd hate...

Article on a 3D printed water from air device
I saw this and thought of you, with the caveat that my scientific knowledge isn't good enough to judge how useful this actually could be and I can't see any mention of what the heating/power source is. This portable, 3D-printed device can pull drinking water out of thin air https://www.popsci.com/te...

Re: What Preps are you doing this week? Part 12
Today my prepping moved beyond research and planning - I've filled 6 10 litre containers with tap water, following the advice laid out in a other thread. I've also set a repeating reminder on my phone to periodically replace the water.

Re: Water purification - steps required and in what order
I'm glad you mentioned container size. I was going to get 25L containers but have now ordered 10L - I need to think about ease of carrying for my wife, or in case I'm moving them while ill. I've ordered 6x 10L stackable blue plastic jerry cans (and will add more next year) as well as the Milton and ...

Re: Water purification - steps required and in what order
Thanks everyone, that's very helpful.
Gerald and Gilly - reassuring to know I can get approx. 2l per hour with the berkefeld.
Frnc, I'm not yet storing water but intend to. Probably in the garage. I'll leave space for expansion in case of freezing temperatures and will rotate it.

Water purification - steps required and in what order
I'm starting to think about preparing for not having tap water available. A few years ago my part of town suffered from a pump failure, so tap water was only available intermittently for a few days which made me realise how much I took it for granted and how much I'd struggle in the event of a wider...

Introduction
Hello everyone. I'm new to prepping and will likely soon be spamming* the forum with questions about water purification. I'm ok with my plan for food, but much more uncertain about water. I'm not prepping for the end of the world, rather short to medium term disruptions to water and food supplies. M...
