Yachts/boats are Ok but they are not for me.

They also have limitations and the inexperienced can easily be caught out by tides and the weather, endangering themselves and any others on board.

Also after TSHTF I really wouldn't be concerned about radar picking you up! But at the same time there is nothing low-vis about a strange yacht or boat sailing into a port or harbour to replenish supplies (which you would have to do on a frequent basis), you can be sure that the locals will take a keen interest in you and will not be keen on you taking their supplies!!

I may have given this too much thought...

But, I would anchor off and send in a dinghy :)

I was originally optimistic and put 3 but over the weekend I re-evaluated my plans and the likelihood of us making it out of our road, let alone to the BOL. I won’t go into too much detail but Mrs Briggs and I have decided it will be best if we go immediately to the refugee camp so we can get a good spot. We figure it’s going to be a lot less hassle in the long run and easier than trying to eek out a miserable existence along the lines of The Book of Eli/Red Dawn/28 Days Later. Mrs Briggs also added that the refugee camp would probably have Sky Movies.

FOR SALE:
Bug out bag x 2
Quad x 1
Container x 1
Pencil Sharpener x 1

you'd better look up what happened to people that went to "refugee centres" after Katrina, not nice(to say the least), I always want to control my own destiny not put it in the hands of a second or third party who knows nothing about me, I become just a number to be counted to them. there is a certain old prepper saying "NEVER become a refugee".

Yeah, but the authorities did display movies 24/7 on the Superdome's jumbotron display, you can't overlook that, it is a benefit.

Are you interested in any of the items I have left for sale?
