Hey all
Looking at getting some yoyo hooks for my BOB just wondering if anyone had used them or if they are a waste of time and money
Here's the link. http://www.amazon.co.uk/YO-YO-Automatic ... shing+reel
Thanks.

YOYO FISHING
Re: YOYO FISHING
Seen them before, but never in action.
IIRC, fishing with anything other than a rod and line in freshwater is illegal in the UK, so they could only be used legally in salt water until TSHTF.
I may be wrong, but will never admit it.....

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.
Re: YOYO FISHING
I was looking at these a few weeks ago as well and would be interested to see if anyone else has any experience in their use.
Re: YOYO FISHING
Clever bits of kit, loads of videos on Youtube.
You let out a chosen amount of line, latch it and bait it. When the fish bites it releases the latch and the spring loaded reel "fights" the fish and wears it out.
Using something shock absorbing to attach the Yoyo helps to avoid lost fish.

Re: YOYO FISHING
Yes it was on you tube I seen them
You are right about the laws but I think they would be pretty handy if shtf to conserve energy and you don't need to be out in the rain etc .
Anything to make life easier is a good tool in my book and deserves a place in my BOB lol
Just concerned about the life span of them being springs and metal getting wet all the time

First time I have seen them, might look at some videos on you tube. I do have a few ordinary survival fishing kits but nothing like this.
