Replacement dog

Post by arnieh »

Hi all, after having my retired working springer put down due to ill health in August last and at the time saying never again, both T.O.H and myself have never lived with out a dog in the house we relented and yesterday Sunday 9th Feb we visited our local rehoming kennels and bingo we both fell in love with a 2 year old German Spitz dog, this breed was originally bred as companion/watch dogs on the barges of Northern Europe. So we now have a very mobile watch dog, he is very small so will not be much good in a guard dog situation but we will know when some ones about.

Always a wrench when a dog dies. I said the same-" Never again". 4 years ago we bought a mongrel terrier. I had always had Springers, lurchers and Lakies. This lad though, is a real 'radar' a yapper!
Hope yours is as good as ours. Glad you found one you can love, as that is what makes us Human.
