Hi all

Hi all!

Glad I found this forum. I suppose I have been prepping in one form or another for most of my life. It is funny to see how mainstream this is getting and also a little sad as it would be better to live in a world that wouldn't be so unstable as too make this necessary.
Look forward to hearing from you all.

What am I prepping for-

Buying shoes is prepping for the possibility that we might want to go for a walk, so I think everyone preps to some degree. I must admit to taking it a bit further than most. I feel that we have become very detached from what life is about. The societal norms that are given to us, are they really normal. The way money is created, the governmental systems the codes that we are trained to live by are all artificial constructions. Life is fragile and they increased use of technology is only serving to make us less skilled in actually being able to fend for ourselves like domesticated animals unable survive if released into the wild. Not that I am advocating for a state of anomie, rather I find this distancing from core skills worrying.
As to what I see as potential situations I personally prep for I would say that there is a huge amount of situations, from weather events, loss of employment etc to the big game changer situations, that I hope I never see. I feel if we look at history there is every chance that something more major will occur in the relatively near future.

Hope I have not been rambling.
All the best

Hi all again from North Antrim

Post by Flippertyjibbet »

I posted an intro the other day, but realised that I didn't give a region. I am presently on the North Antrim coast, should have given a location before. Very happy to be in contact with others in this area or in fact anywhere.

If you use the phase "man up" you have alot to learn.
