Watergate Flood Defence

Post by mallie99 »

Okay, so I came home this evening and there was an article in the news. Took a bit of looking, but I think this is the tech which was reported:

http://www.floodprotectionsolutions.co.uk

Looks just like the sort of thing any self-respecting prepper would have in his garage in case of flooding! The barrier is flexible and does not require inflating or any work whatsoever. It works by allowing the water into catchment sections which then grow as the water flows in. You can get systems which can hold back up to 6ft of water! It's an instant dam using the water itself as it's core structure.

If I lived in a flood zone I'd want some of that! and some shares in that company wouldn't be a bad idea
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

That looks like a very useful solution. Good find
