The container is quite cosy inside. Insulated, watertight, comfy beds, log burner, running water and electrickery. It's only when the dog and I come back inside it becomes lice/flea and tick infested.
I recently experienced Plymouth City centre so that's why I prep.

Oh, yeah. I nearly forgot. I have bought a magnetic antenna for the container so I can use the radio. Spoiling myself, really.
Ummm... Shipping container?

Have I missed something?

Oh, and fleas and ticks dont really care about hair on the human meal-machine in my experience... As for lice, they hate silk aparently.
Shipping container - Yup. I live in one for a few days every fortnight but I'm thinking of taking a break from the drudgery of work and doing a week or so there, just me and the dog.

Does your wife hate you that much!! :o

Well, this weekend I think that I will be hiding under the stairs, until these storms are over!

Mr Briggs might have room in his shipping container, you may need to bring your own fleas tho!

Reached the three month milestone for food, water etc. Solar system running fine, won't run the whole house but essentials can be met. My next goals are six months supplies and to get more panels and deep cycle cells. Will have a glass of wine tonight to celebrate.

Not actually adding to "preps" but am using them. I consider it partial practice. The boiler has gone (yet) again and so I am using kettles for the washing up plus washing and the like and the ethanol fire on for short one hour bursts to keep the temperature up. No work will be being done on the boiler until some undisclosed hour on monday, so I am truly glad of the ethanol fire and the ethanol that I purchased in case of emergencies with the boiler. I am also grateful for not having thrown out my old electric kettles (again) so I will always have enough hot water for washing up.

Sure I'm still using my one oil filled electric radiator, but this isn't a total grid down situation at the moment. Part of me wishes it was so that I could play with the kelley kettle and to do so with an air of authenticity.

Will probably have another watering can shower tomorrow :)

Crikey its windy out and the cat finds it rather frightening.

Hopefully planting a plum tree tomorrow (probably in the rain).

Mylar bags have arrived so will be packing up dried goods over half term.

Will also be trying to save my polytunnel - we almost lost it today in the wind and it is weighted down!!!

Not had much on this week prepping wise...

Don't know if it is just the items I buy but since Christmas my 'Big Shop' has gone up in price quite a considerable amount of late so that is something I am definitely keeping an eye on.

Not got much on this coming week unless the weather drastically changes at some point, So will probably just have a bit of a inventory of my preps and keep a watch out for the weather.

Have a good week people hope you are all safe and well.
Having food, water and shelter are not a right.
They are a responsibility.

So make it your priority.
