I'm really fussy about meat products anyway and tend to buy bits of meat, like pork chops and still worry about how the pig was reared, antibiotics and all that. The thought of eating pet food makes me gag and my family were hiding behind their hands when the lady from Extreme Cheapskates fed her unsuspecting ex-husband (whom she is still very friendly with and who comes by every week and scrubs her house because she won't employ anyone else to do it!!!!) cat food. Our screams of horror said it all. He thought he'd just polished off some delicious tuna. I think I would know - gads! But Lonewolf is right! If my ribs were sticking out and the sight of anything edible had me hallucinating about steak and mushrooms, of course I would eat it.

I used to work in a cold store there was one customer which auctioned meat regularly, The owners of pedigree chum regularly outbid the Big golden M for Lots (in the auction phrase) of meat
If your roughing it, Your doing it wrong ;)

I'm having a re-think if desperate anything yes, but remembering the pong of some dog/cat foods I'm not so sure I could do it till my ribs were visible.
I have a strategy, it's not written in stone, nor can it be, this scenario has too many variables, everything about it depends on those variables, being specific is not possible.

With reference to my earlier post, I have a book in print that is based upon my time spent working in a dog food factory. I'm tempted to post a link to it online but then I'd be breaking my opsec as you would then all know my name and location and we don't want that do we?

On the subject of dog food, we used to feed our dogs on Bakers. We did a thorough check on the ingredients and were not all that impressed. We now use a different brand - Oscars and the difference in the dog's coat and their smell is quite remarkable. And yes, I've taste tested it and can confirm it's not bad at all.
I recently experienced Plymouth City centre so that's why I prep.

Cold dog food? That's disgusting.

Now, throw some pastry around it, bang it in the oven and make a pie out of it, and there'd be no difference (if not better) than any low to mid range supermarket pies.

Being quite well-read in the Joanna Blythman area of non-fiction, I am already disgusted by what's done to the food we eat, so try to stay away from as much crap as possible. Food processors have no shame and I can't begin to think what goes into those stinky tins. Well, actually, I can, but I don't want to. Unfortunately :), my curiosity is telling me this would be an enlightening, fascinating and gag-inducing read, all at the same time.

I'd eat dog food and McDonalds if I was hungry enough. To be honest I'd probably eat you if I had to.
