that's not a problem! less is more! TBH every time I go there or any other large town I find I'm buying less and less, most stuff I'm buying online and its delivered to my door.

OK didnt pick much up but did get the expandable 5l water barrels at £1.29 ea and some camp pots n kettle ect for £2-£5 each in this range

tested a water barrel. not bad quality for the price. dont think they would suit long term water storage but i am keeping these to fill when the lights go out.

Be careful if the 5l water barrels are the collapsible type, I tried three and two would just not seal correctly.

This type cost more but in my personal experience are far more reliable and take up less room in storage

Big tins of soup in stock just now, double size cans around 740g, for 69p either pea and ham or bacon and lentil. Mylar bags of Spanish omelette/rosti/sliced spuds and bacon for about a quid. Look out for tinned fish such as sardines which are often on offer and will store for years.

very little in our local B&M in the way of Camping Gear though they did Have a shelf of wind up Lanterns for £8.99 and the single Camping stoves that take the Battery canisters of Gas. Last time I was there I pickup some single portions of UHT Milk, They also had single portion jam and Nescafe three in one sachets. Another good place to look is the range as they have a good range of camping equipment in the season which they just seem to be stocking up on.

Get two of the roll up carriers, fill one with 'dirty' water, hang it up and run it through a gravity fed filter into another bag

sort of thing. I've got a couple of pictures somewhere I'll dig out to show it working.

Sorry this isn't anything to do with B+M but its worth letting you know that Morrisons and wilkos always seem to have a cordened off bit in their stores with things reduced which are just added there and reduced and reduced untill they are gone! especially morrisons!

The other week when i was in their store i went for a nosey and found a stack of what i belive was a cat food bowl of some description.
It looked identical to the stainless steel camping plates with the raised edges like a deep plate sort of thing Cost 29p each...
No reason why they couldnt be used for eating from so i braught 4 of them to have and i placed them inside eachother and turns out the woman at the counter picked up the stacked bowls and just scanned the bottom so i only payed for one! get it!

Morrisons tend to have lemsips there too in the reduced bit for under a quid!

Happy prepping folks! - Kaan
