If theirs is at least 3 - 5 years old and getting a bit congested, they'll be glad of someone coming along to dig it up, divide it into 3 - 4 and replanting it for them - you might even get a couple of bits for your trouble . They might be so nice to you after that, they lose their outlaw status!cypher wrote:Rhubarb is a great idea, will swipe some from the outlaws when we next have to visit.
Chives are a good idea too, will grab a pack from the cheapie shop when i'm passing.

I'm just heading for the charity shop with a car load this afternoon. Even gorgeous brand new pumps for my daughter - too big and never sent back. Someone's going to get a few bargains . Would do a car boot, but people are so funny. We did one and this man kept walking backwards and forward tutting and shaking his head - his ploy to get stuff reduced to "giving them away" levels. The only stuff we got rid of was either almost new or brand new, never worn, unused stuff, leaving us with all the seen-better-days stuff to still dispose of. Waste of our time, TBH. Hubby has just sledgehammered and removed a really good quality dining room display cabinet we no longer need, because we couldn't even give it away on Freecycle - something going awry in the world. We had to do the same with a desk - heartbreaking.poppypiesdad wrote:Listing 101 things on eBay , god the crap you uncover when you move .

Just got a bargain from RTI Military Surplus in Lutterworth.
A Berghaus Crusader 90 Plus 20 Rucksack for less than half price.
No affiliation, just a happy bunny.

Two is one and one is none, but three is even better.

Adapt or Die, there is no middle ground.

Was it you doing the tutting and head shaking? TBH I think car boots are bigger and better down south than they are here.lonewolf wrote:I love car boots, going to a market and car boot tomorrow, 150 mile round trip!! making a day of it.FEISTY wrote:I'm just heading for the charity shop with a car load this afternoon. Well that's the veggie plot started , got to start somewhere , turned over a square , rake length x rake length, dug in some well rotted horse poo, and got started with some tatties that has sprouted , got carrots , leeks, broccoli , runner beans and sunflowers planted up in a seeding tray . Wee one overjoyed that her garden has started

I had to look this up. "Pemmican or pemican (ˈpɛmɪkən) —n: a small pressed cake of shredded dried meat, pounded into paste with fat and berries or dried fruits ..." I can't say I'll be rushing to make it. Probably along the lines of pate?Sirmattyb wrote:I am experimenting making pemmican and long life energy bars as well as building up my tinned food supplies...
